“My principle goal in life is to draw closer to God, to learn about and to experience Him, and to communicate Him to others.”
As a mature student Sally achieved a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design.
Her dissertation was entitled: “Examining the visual arts as a medium for expressing and communicating Christian spirituality in the postmodern age”.
Design Ethos
Sally is interested in concept, composition, pattern and decoration. Her designs can be realised on any scale, in fabric, as a surface decoration, as fine art pieces or graphic design projects.
Sally exhibits and sells her work through a variety of outlets, venues and events and is appropriate for display in both domestic and commercial settings. Her works sits equally comfortably in secular settings as well as within a Christian context.
One of Sally’s creative strengths is the ability to translate concepts into visual language in order to convey a meaning and produce an impact. At times this can occur in an instant, as with her graphic designs, and at other times upon more careful contemplation of her fine art pieces.
